Many times you hear people say, "Obesity isn't due to over eating." Could this be true?

According to a report in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, it may turn out that a metabolic disease could cause obesity in humans. Of course, the work they did was on dragonflies,

Jim Marden , Professor and Research at Penn State University, says:

Metabolic disease isn't some strange thing having just to do with humans. Animals in general suffer from these symptoms.

The research concerning metabolic disease focuses on parasites and their interaction with their host. When a dragonfly has this parasite it mirrors obesity in humans.

Could there be a human connection? It's too early to tell, but any additional research helps.
